Iran's information ecosystem is fractured. State media controls the narrative, internet shutdowns silence citizens, and the international community struggles to get reliable data. IranMonitor bridges this gap by aggregating, verifying, and presenting information from multiple sources in real-time.

Our platform uses a combination of automated data collection, AI-assisted processing, and community feedback to provide the most accurate picture possible.
Automated Gathering
Continuous monitoring of 50+ news sources, social media platforms, and official channels in both Farsi and English.
AI-Assisted Processing
Natural language processing categorizes events, detects sentiment, and identifies geographic patterns across sources.
Community Feedback
Our Telegram community helps verify information, report inaccuracies, and contribute local knowledge.
Who Is Behind IranMonitor
IranMonitor was created by members of the Iranian diaspora who felt the urgent need for a centralized, reliable source of information during the ongoing crisis.
We are a small team of volunteers — engineers, designers, and journalists — who donate our time and skills. We have no political affiliation and no funding from any government or organization.
Transparency & Running Costs
Developing and running IranMonitor costs money. The running costs as of February 2026 are approximately $2,000 per month, which primarily covers:
- Development costs
- News subscriptions
- X API subscription
- Hosting and data storage
- AI usage for processing data
Donations
We have funded IranMonitor since the beginning and are happy to continue doing so for the foreseeable future, but donations help ensure the project can continue reliably and scale when needed.

Privacy & Safety
We take the safety of our users extremely seriously. We do not collect personal data, we do not use analytics trackers, and we do not store IP addresses. The platform is designed to be safe to access from inside Iran.
